Junior League Northern Final

Hi All,

Please could the following swimmers confirm their availability to Kevin Schofield (kevin.schofield@leeds.gov.uk) by Friday 1st September.

For those who are new to this competition, the National Junior Swimming League comprises of three rounds:

The County Qualifying Round (The White Rose League – 8^th July)
The Northern Area Final (for the winners of the County Qualifying Rounds – 1^st October)
The Grand Final (for the top four teams from the Northern and Southern Area Finals – 26^th November)

Please note the following details of this year's Northern Final:

Date : Sunday 1^st October

Venue : Tynemouth Pool (NE29 9PX)

Arrive : TBC

Warm Up : TBC

Age is calculated as at 31^st December 2017, except those who will compete as 9yrs. This age group is calculated as at 26^th November 2017 (the date of the Grand Final).

The Northern Final will be held in Tynemouth on Sunday 1st October. A bus for athletes and team staff will be provided. Each athlete is expected to travel to and from the venue with the team. This is a trait of high performance teams competing on an international level, and will also allow us to manage the children's safety upon arrival better as well as promote a more cohesive team. Each team member will be reserved 1 ticket per parent for the supporters bus should you wish to take it. Further information on the supporters bus and tickets will be provided in due course.

The Northern Final is held on the same day as the Short Course Yorkshire Championships. Those swimmers who have been selected for the Northern Final should make this competition the priority. Swimmers who are selected should not enter any races on the Sunday of the Yorkshire Championships due to competing in the Northern Final.

Please note that the 12 years age group swimmers will receive confirmation of selection for the Northern Final following the Welsh Summer Nationals competition.
